A vision comes to life
Horace Thibault opens a garage in Rouyn-Noranda.
In a challenging region, he builds his reputation on one simple principle:
doing things the right way.
A family-owned business since 1939!

In 1939, Horace Thibault opened a small garage in Rouyn-Noranda. He firmly believed that the people here deserved vehicles that could keep up with their rugged terrain, their hard work, and their ambitions. Four generations later, that belief hasn’t changed one bit.
From Jean-Guy, who ran the dealership for over twenty years, to Alain, Marc-André, and Jean-Patrick, who are at the helm of the company today, each generation has grown up in the same environment: one where you learn the trade on the shop floor before taking the reins.
A family business is more than just a name. It’s also about the team. Advisors, technicians, and managers, many of whom have been with us for decades. From ordering parts to making sales, our team is made up of people who know every model, ask the right questions, and find the right solution. They’re the ones who build relationships with customers, get involved in the community, and make the dealership a true anchor in the region.
Technologies change, models evolve, and the next generation is already stepping up. What remains is our approach: we do things with rigor, with honesty, and with a commitment to serving those who have placed their trust in us since 1939.

Horace Thibault opens a garage in Rouyn-Noranda.
In a challenging region, he builds his reputation on one simple principle:
doing things the right way.
The garage becomes a local institution.
Customers become regulars.
Employees become like family.
And the name Thibault begins to be known throughout the region.
Jean-Guy Thibault takes over.
For more than 20 years, he develops, organizes, and strengthens the company.
Thibault becomes a regional institution.
The company is undergoing a major transformation and evolving into a full-service, modern, and well-structured dealership.
At the turn of the 2000s, the third generation took the reins.
Alain, Marc-André, and Jean-Patrick Thibault became actively involved in the business. Technologies are changing. Vehicles are evolving.
But one thing remains constant: the connection with the customer.
A key milestone in the group’s diversification and growth.
A loyal team. A deeply human-centered culture.
A company deeply rooted in its community.
The fourth generation is already at work:
Marika and Alexandre Thibault.
Tomorrow is simple. We’ll keep going. With the same vision. The same passion. And, above all, the same mission.
